The rules of the shop.

By using this website or placing an order with Retkatha, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

These terms apply to purchases made online. In-shop sales may also be subject to local policies discussed at the counter.

We sell handmade leather diaries and related goods. Colours, grain, and natural markings vary because we use full-grain leather — each piece is slightly unique.

We aim to describe products accurately. If something material differs from what you ordered, contact us promptly at the email below.

Prices are shown in the currency selected at checkout. Taxes, duties, and shipping are calculated at checkout where applicable.

We may refuse or cancel an order (for example, due to stock limits, suspected fraud, or errors in pricing). If we cancel a paid order, we will refund the amount charged.

Custom embossing and made-to-order work are prepared after you approve a proof (online or in person). Once embossing has been pressed to your specification, those items are final sale except where required by law or where we have made a clear error.

In-stock items typically ship from our Udaipur workshop within two business days. Embossed or custom work may take longer, as noted on product pages and in order confirmations.

Delivery times depend on your location and carrier. Risk of loss passes to you when the carrier records delivery to the address you provided, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

Currently we do not offer returns or exchanges unless we have confirmed otherwise in writing. If something arrives damaged or incorrect, contact retkatha@gmail.com within seven days of delivery with your order number and photos — we will make it right where we can.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential. Notify us if you suspect unauthorised access.

We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or misuse the site.

Content on this site — including text, images, logos, and design — belongs to us or our licensors. You may not copy or use it for commercial purposes without our written permission.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or products.

Our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be subject to the courts of Udaipur, Rajasthan, unless mandatory consumer protection rules in your country require otherwise.
