In-stock items leave our Udaipur workshop within 2 business days and ship across India and worldwide with trusted couriers, including DHL Express for international parcels. Shipping, duties and taxes are calculated at checkout. Delivery times may be longer than usual while we wait on materials.
02Embossing+
Up to 10 characters pressed by hand on the cover in our shop typeface, at no charge. Embossed orders take 5–7 days while we prepare your proof and press the cover, and we email you a proof before we press it. You are also welcome to see samples at the shop in Udaipur.
03Materials+
Full-grain vegetable-tanned buffalo or goat leather, acid-free cotton-rich paper (~100gsm), waxed linen thread (kettle or Coptic-style sewing), ribbon marker and reinforced endpapers. Bound to lay flat; spine sewn, not glue-only.
04Care+
Keep out of direct sun and prolonged water exposure. Every year or two, rub in a pea of leather balm with a soft cloth. Scratches become patina — that's the point.
05Returns+
We do not currently offer returns or exchanges. If something arrives damaged or incorrect, write to sales@retkatha.com within seven days of delivery with your order number and photos. Embossed pieces are final sale.
